Avenue is not just one of the best house music venues in Pacific Beach, but one of the best in all of San Diego.  It’s an intimate space with no frills and is an awesome neighborhood place to hang out or dance to some awesome house music from local DJs.

For a small bar, the sound system and lighting are pretty impressive.

This place is often dark, foggy, and always friendly.  This is one of the few places we can say from personal experience that the bar tenders and even the bouncers treat you like friends.  Unlike downtown venues the staff is cool and the drinks are not crazy expensive, and there’s often something on special.

Sunday nights are industry night, and Saturdays are often an Open Decks contest lineup of local favs throwing down bangers.  Might be a headliner on any given night so check their insta for the most up to date info.

Overall it’s a cozy place to chill or dance and is in general way underrated.  It’s by far one of the best places to casually catch some great house music and always has better music than you’d expect.  You can find us there often so keep an eye out for a House Fire t shirt walking through the bar or dance floor and say hello!
