Westend

At the age of 27, Westend, a native of New York City, has firmly established himself as a must-watch talent in the fiercely competitive tech-house arena. Tyler Morris, who hails from the Bronx and attended the same school as synth inventor Robert Moog, developed a deep interest in electronic music and production during his formative years. He adopted the name Westend in honor of the cherished side of the city that nurtured his musical journey. Much like the vibrant metropolis that influenced him, Westend’s work can be discovered at the intersection of pulsating basslines, polished vocals, and precise, methodical production.

The year 2021 has proven to be a defining moment in Westend’s career. He kicked off the year with a fresh interpretation of Musique’s disco classic ‘Keep on Jumpin’ in collaboration with fellow NYC producer CID. This track, released on Lee Foss’s renowned Repopulate Mars label, surged to the #2 spot on Beatport’s overall charts and maintained its position for more than four weeks, accumulating over 4 million Spotify streams. Westend continued his success with the single “Get This Party Started” on the legendary Glasgow Underground, which also reached #2 overall on Beatport and remained in the top 10 for over three months. Currently, he ranks as the 6th best-selling tech-house artist and 10th overall over the past year on Beatport.
